Wireless Broadband plans are only available to residential electricity customers who currently have Fixed Wireless Broadband or an ADSL/VDSL connection at their property.

2Wireless Broadband speeds shown are peak-time average speeds based on the Commerce Commission’s MBNZ Autumn Report. Actual speeds may vary and can be affected by factors such as your location, network congestion, signal strength, and the capabilities of your device.
3If you cancel your Fixed Wireless Broadband within 12 months of signing up, an early termination fee of $150 applies, along with a Fixed Wireless Modem Fee if you do not return your modem within 20 days.

Can you call 111 during a power outage? 

As more people move from using traditional copper network landlines to internet-connected landlines via a modem (which requires power to operate), there's a growing need to ensure they have an alternative way to contact emergency services (111) during a power outage. This is because their landline won't function without power. To address this, the Commerce Commission introduced the 111 Contact Code. Click here to learn more.

My Wireless Broadband is not working, what can I do?

Here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Use the TP-Link Deco App for Support
    • Android users: Download the Deco app from the Google Play Store.
    • Apple users: Download the Deco app from the App Store.
  2. Restart Your Modem
    • A simple reboot can often fix connectivity issues.
  3. Optimise Your 4G/5G Signal
    • Place your modem near a window for the best signal.
    • Try relocating it to different spots to improve coverage.
    • You can check signal strength directly in the Deco app.

Can I use a BYO modem?

No, BYO modem is not available on our Wireless Broadband plans. We will provide you with a modem to access this service.

How long will it take for my Wireless Broadband to be set up?

Your modem will be dispatched 3 working days before your scheduled connection date. Once it arrives, simply follow the instructions in the Modem Quick Start Guide to set it up. Your Wireless Broadband will then be ready to use from your connection date.

Who can get Wireless Broadband?

Existing residential electricity customers who currently have Fixed Wireless Broadband or a ADSL/VDSL connection at their property. Available in areas with strong 4G coverage and capacity.
