Our average speeds are based on the headline speeds provided by local fibre companies. The speeds you experience may vary depending on a range of factors, including your device and its capabilities, the number of devices connected, your operating system and web browser, and whether you’re connected to your modem over WiFi.

If you’re using a modem supplied by Black Box Power, it’s capable of delivering national peak-time average speeds, subject to the factors outlined above. If you’re using your own modem, you may not experience the same speeds on our fibre service. | Power Dependency | Broadband requires mains power to work. If there’s a power outage, your broadband and any services that rely on it may stop working, unless you have a battery backup at home. |
| VoIP Limitation | Landline and VoIP services depend on your broadband connection, so they’ll be unavailable if your broadband is down, including during outages or power loss. |
| Compatibility | Check compatibility with services like alarms and EFTPOS before switching. Some services, including landlines, medical alarms, and security systems, may not work over broadband. It’s your responsibility to confirm with your provider that your existing services will continue to operate. If they don’t, you may be unable to contact 111 in an emergency. We recommend having a charged mobile phone or an alternative way to get help. |
